Los Angeles’ historic Perry Mansion celebrated its 150th anniversary by opening its second floor. This rare access allowed visitors to see preserved 19th-century rooms and raise funds. The grand Victorian residence was built in 1876 for businessman William Hayes Perry. Preservationists saved the mansion from demolition in 1975 and moved it to Heritage Square Museum. Funds raised will support ongoing structural conservation and protection of the historic wooden building.
