16 feared trapped after building collapses in Pune amid heavy rain

A three-storey administrative building at the PCMC Waste-to-Energy plant collapsed during heavy rain. Fifteen to sixteen workers are feared trapped under the debris following the afternoon incident. A large-scale rescue operation was immediately launched by the PCMC fire brigade. Personnel from the National Disaster Response Force were also rushed to assist. Rescue operations are currently underway to find those believed to be trapped.
