17-year-old girl electrocuted near apartment gate in Thane; power officials booked

Tragedy struck Thane as a 17-year-old girl died from electric shock in a waterlogged area outside her Mumbra home. Her father alleges Torrent Power ignored prior complaints about voltage issues. Separately, a Bhiwandi sweet shop worker was electrocuted by a live wire near a temple, sparking protests over alleged negligence and attempts to hide the faulty wiring. Investigations are underway for both incidents.
