170-year-old California cattle ranch sold for $15.5m, will open to public

In a landmark initiative, the Wildlands Conservancy is set to acquire the AP Ranch in Northern California, establishing an impressive public preserve in Siskiyou County. This strategic 14,177-acre purchase will unite with an existing land reserve, exceeding 20,000 acres in total. The project aims to protect essential wildlife corridors and headwaters within the Scott River watershed, while also facilitating habitat restoration and free recreational access for visitors.
