25 years after 9/11, Ten House has just one active member left from that day

Sal Argano, the last firefighter from 2001 at FDNY’s Ten House, serves as a living link. He survived the September 11 attacks due to a temporary assignment elsewhere that morning. His firehouse, located across from the World Trade Center, was damaged and lost six members. Argano continues working to share firsthand accounts with younger generations and visitors. He remains at the station to preserve memories as others retire.
