Tragedy struck in northeastern Thailand as at least eight monks on a pilgrimage were killed when an 11-year-old boy lost control of a pickup truck. The vehicle veered off the road, striking the group. Five monks died at the scene, with three more succumbing to their injuries at a hospital. Fourteen others were hospitalized following the devastating incident. Authorities are investigating the cause.
