Who is Lokhande Prashant Sitaram? IAS officer appointed as new CBSE Chairperson

Senior IAS officer Lokhande Prashant Sitaram has been appointed as the new CBSE Chairperson on an additional charge basis while continuing as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs. A 2001-batch AGMUT cadre officer with engineering and industrial management qualifications, he will lead the board until the Centre appoints a regular Chairperson, ensuring continuity in CBSE’s functioning.
