‘He deserved it’: Baruipur rape accused’s mother disowns body after encounter

The mother of the main accused in the Baruipur case refused his body. Prabash Mondal died in a police encounter while reconstructing the crime scene. He allegedly tried to snatch a firearm and fired at the police team. The post-mortem report revealed the 12-year-old victim was sexually assaulted and tortured. Investigators added charges of gang rape and murder against three other suspects.
