Caltrans will begin a $36.4 million project on August 3 to repair 31.7 miles of California’s Highway 4, including the historic Ebbetts Pass in the Sierra Nevada. The four-year project will improve road surfaces, drainage and safety features while causing temporary lane closures and occasional full highway closures until 2030.
