Murali Sreeshankar bags Silver in thrilling long jump final, misses Gold by 6 cm

Murali Sreeshankar secured the silver medal in the men’s long jump event. He achieved a best leap of 8.09m in the fiercely contested final. Jamaica’s Tajay Gayle won gold with a jump of 8.15m in the fourth round. Scotland’s Stephen Mackenzie claimed the bronze medal with a jump of 8.08m. Lokesh finished fifth in his Commonwealth Games debut competition.
