Meta is moving to Slack this month because Google Chat can’t handle AI agents

Meta is dumping Google Chat for Slack, and AI agents are the reason. Chief AI officer Alexandr Wang told staff in a memo that Meta got the original call wrong, and that Slack is the strongest platform for agents. Early access starts September 15 for Meta Superintelligence Labs and other units, with the rest of the company moving to Slack on September 29.
