Anthropic researcher Jacob Coxon quit over AI safety fears two months before his equity vested, forfeiting his stake as the company heads for a reported $2 trillion IPO. The 27-year-old ex-OpenAI researcher said both labs are racing to self-improving superintelligence. Axios reported the forfeited shares. Anthropic alignment lead Evan Hubinger publicly agreed, putting the odds of AI killing all humans above 10 percent within the decade. Anthropic has not commented.
