HM launches PRAGATI-50 initiative to establish cleaning benchmark for Indian cities

Under the PRAGATI-50 initiative, fifty cities in India have been selected to boost cleanliness and sanitation efforts. These cities will implement focused strategies and be closely monitored within the Swachh Bharat Mission–Urban 2.0 framework. Union Minister Manohar Lal will chair regular reviews to ensure consistent progress. The initiative encourages active citizen involvement, urging states and local authorities to create actionable plans for timely implementation.
