California crews uncover 40-million-year-old mammal bones 12 feet underground

In a remarkable find during construction in Oceanside, California, fossilized remains were unearthed at a considerable depth. Expert paleontologist Joseph El Adli confirmed the identification of the bones, prompting a meticulous excavation effort. These fossils, dating back 40 to 45 million years from the Eocene Epoch, are under investigation to discern if they belong to brontotheres or amynodonts.
