Uruguay’s football team explored Kolkata ahead of its October 6 friendly against India. The two-time World Cup champions visited Victoria Memorial and St Paul’s Cathedral and also tried cricket at Eden Gardens. The venue holds historical significance, as Uruguay won the 1982 Nehru Cup there. The squad, coached by Diego Forlán, will now prepare for the India clash.
