St. Johns County Utilities officials celebrated the completion of the State Road 207 Water Reclamation Facility. This facility, costing $191.8 million, will treat wastewater and provide reclaimed water for irrigation purposes. The project aims to reduce dependence on the Floridan Aquifer, especially during ongoing drought conditions. Capacity of the facility can be expanded to meet future demand while preventing nutrient pollution in local waters.
