IISc and Isro have collaborated on various projects relevant to India’s growing space ambitions. The partnership has included developing technologies relevant to spacecraft and exploring microbial life in space. A model similar to JPL could allow IISc to contribute more significantly to Isro’s missions. Establishing a strong research framework is essential for such collaboration to mature over the years.
