Ghanakanta Gogoi was killed in police firing while attempting to escape from custody in Sivasagar. The incident occurred after he snatched a police officer’s weapon and shot at the police. Gogoi had previously surrendered to police with a firearm linked to the Hotel Bilas Inn shooting. This shooting resulted in the deaths of five individuals connected to the hotel.
