A 27-year-old groom, Azad Bind, was shot dead by a bride’s relative, Pradeep Bind, and an associate while en route to his wedding in Jaunpur. The accused, reportedly unhappy with the marriage, intercepted the wedding procession and opened fire. The groom succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
