Accenture settles with DOJ; AG says promotions should be based on merit

Accenture Federal Services will pay twenty-five million dollars to settle claims. The company allegedly violated anti-discrimination rules in federal contracts. It is accused of considering race and sex in hiring and promotion decisions. These practices were reportedly used to meet non-public workforce composition goals. The settlement resolves allegations of false compliance certifications from 2017 to the present.
