Rajasthan’s Drug Control Department has banned TOCIN (Oxytocin Injection 5 ml) manufactured by Jackson Laboratories Pvt Ltd after a sample failed quality tests due to insufficient oxytocin. Approximately 3,500 vials have been seized. The department clarified that this banned injection is not directly linked to recent maternal deaths in Kota, as those cases involved caesarean deliveries.
