After hydrogen, India’s gets its first LNG train; check details

The dual-fuel arrangement allows LNG to substitute for around 40 per cent of diesel consumption. The move is part of the national transporter’s broader push to reduce carbon emissions and move towards more sustainable modes of transport. A full tank of LNG is expected to support around 1,600 km of operations, thereby reducing the frequency with which the train needs to refuel.
