After stonewalling patient appeals for years, NMC lobs ball to health ministry’s court

The National Medical Commission’s ethics board has deferred a decision on patient appeals to the health ministry, after rejecting hundreds for five years. This follows an RTI activist’s challenge to the board’s interpretation of the NMC Act, which he claims illegally barred patients from appealing state medical council decisions.
