Airfares soar: Delhi-Hyderabad up 68%; IndiGo hikes surcharge by up to Rs 350

Data from global aviation analytics firm OAG shows that airlines have scheduled 5% fewer domestic flights for the October-December quarter than during the same period last year. However, total seat capacity has fallen by only 1.2%. This indicates that airlines are operating fewer flights while deploying larger aircraft with more seats, keeping overall capacity relatively steady.
