The Allahabad high court has overturned the Noida police’s detention of Aakriti Choudhary under the National Security Act, highlighting serious procedural mistakes and insufficient evidence. As a result, the court mandated a compensation of five lakh rupees for the labor activist accused of inciting unrest during a protest for better minimum wages. Choudhary is involved in eleven FIRs but has managed to secure bail in five.
