Asian Games: Sooryavanshi was India’s youngest medallist; who was the oldest?

India finished fourth at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan with 85 medals, including 21 golds. Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi became India’s youngest-ever gold medallist after winning cricket gold, while 50-year-old Mairaj Ahmad Khan became the country’s oldest medallist with a skeet shooting bronze. Japan’s Yuki Kurihara and Kuwait’s Abdullah Al-Rashidi were the overall youngest and oldest medallists.
