BITS Pilani classroom idea about queues becomes startup used at fuel stations

A BITS Pilani classroom project focused on queue management has grown into a real-world technology venture serving fuel stations across India. The journey highlights how Prof. Vinay Chamola’s emphasis on experiential learning, innovation and entrepreneurship has helped students turn academic ideas into practical solutions. Recently honoured with the National Award for Teachers 2026, Chamola has also contributed to IoT, AI, drones, cybersecurity and student startup mentorship, demonstrating how classroom learning can create lasting real-world impact.
