Bought as a Christmas gift in 1986, this Super Mario Bros sold for $660,000

In 1986, a sealed copy of Super Mario Bros. was bought as a Christmas gift and forgotten in a desk drawer. It remained untouched for 35 years before being discovered and auctioned in 2021. The rare, professionally graded game sold for $660,000 at Heritage Auctions, setting a new world record for the video game.
