Can your builder change project plans after selling your flat? Here’s what RERA says

RERA protects homebuyers from unauthorized builder changes to sanctioned plans. Promoters need buyer consent for alterations beyond minor structural necessities. Changes to common areas require consent from two-thirds of allottees. Builders remain liable for structural defects for five years after possession. Homebuyers can seek relief from the Authority for unauthorized changes.
