Celebratory firing death case: Bihar BJP MLA Raju Kumar Singh convicted, gets 4-year jail

A Delhi court has sentenced Bihar BJP MLA Raju Kumar Singh to four years imprisonment and a Rs 25 lakh fine for culpable homicide in a 2018 celebratory firing case. The incident tragically claimed the life of Archana Gupta during a New Year’s party. The court emphasized the severe dangers of such reckless gunfire, with eyewitnesses identifying Singh as the shooter. The substantial fine will compensate the victim’s family.
