Centre to unveil AI regulation roadmap within a month; industry to shoulder safety responsibility

In a major initiative, the Centre will unveil a consultation paper in the coming month to propose new regulations for artificial intelligence. These guidelines are set to focus on safety, inclusivity, and the handling of emerging threats such as deepfakes and psychological effects. The responsibility for implementation will lie primarily with industry leaders within a techno-legal framework, accompanied by a roadmap for developing homegrown GPUs.
