Colombia rocked by car bomb blast a day after new President takes charge

In southwestern Colombia, a car bomb detonated at a toll plaza on Saturday, just a day after Abelardo de la Espriella took office as president. The army promptly attributed the incident to dissident FARC factions, leaving two security guards injured. In response, President de la Espriella issued a stern warning to armed groups, urging them to comply with the rule of law.
