Couple paid for Bali trip, but operator left them out; commission orders Rs 90,000

A Kerala consumer commission has mandated a tour operator to remit Rs 90,000 for failing to deliver a booked Bali tour. The consumer, who paid Rs 82,500, was excluded from the trip, prompting a partial refund that was inadequate. The commission ruled that this constituted unfair trade practices under the Consumer Protection Act, resulting in further compensation for legal expenses totaling Rs 10,000.
