Court orders AirAsia to pay farmer Rs 90,750 after delayed flight damaged rare jackfruit plant

A farmer’s hybrid jackfruit sapling was ruined after AirAsia’s flight delay caused him to miss his connection. The consumer commission ordered AirAsia to pay Rs 90,750 for the damaged sapling, refunding ticket fare, reimbursing expenses, and compensating for mental agony and deficiency in service. The airline failed to appear, leading to an ex-parte ruling.
