Former Afghanistan fast bowler Shapoor Zadran has died aged 38 after battling the rare immune disorder HLH. The Afghanistan Cricket Board and ICC Chairman Jay Shah paid tribute, hailing him as a pioneer of Afghan cricket. Shah remembered Zadran’s match-winning heroics in Afghanistan’s first-ever World Cup victory in 2015. He played 80 international matches between 2009 and 2020.
