Delhi civic fines set for overhaul; fines for dogs without leash set at Rs 1,000

Delhi is set to significantly increase penalties for various civic violations, including a jump from Rs 50 to Rs 1,000 for letting pet dogs roam unleashed in public. The Jan Vishwas Bill 2025 proposes higher fines for issues like cattle tethering, defacing house numbers, and sanitation offenses, aiming to rationalize penalties and decriminalize minor infractions.
