Delhi high court halts ‘Godfather’ whisky launch in trademark dispute

The Delhi High Court has halted Cartel Bros, backed by Sanjay Dutt, from launching its ‘Glenwalk Godfather’ whisky. Devans Modern Breweries, owner of the established ‘Godfather’ brand for beer and spirits, successfully argued trademark infringement. The court ordered Cartel Bros to pause commercial launch and promotional activities until further notice, with the next hearing scheduled for April 10.
