Film scenes with drug consumption, trafficking to carry anti-drug warning label

In a bid to combat drug culture in cinema, a new regulation mandates that films featuring drug use now include a prominent anti-drug warning. This regulation aligns with prior measures imposed on OTT platforms and television broadcasts. The central board of film certification (CBFC) has previously taken steps to avoid the glamorization of substance abuse, with guidelines last updated in May 2025.
