Former Angels star Garret Anderson dies at 53 after sudden medical emergency at home

Garret Anderson, former Los Angeles Angels star and franchise hits leader, has died at 53 after a medical emergency in Newport Beach. A key part of the Angels’ 2002 World Series team, he built a strong MLB career with consistent performances. Anderson later worked as an analyst and was inducted into the Angels Hall of Fame in 2016.
