Fridge bought for Rs 1.09L stops cooling, then explodes; court orders Rs 1.99L payout

A consumer commission in Jharkhand has ruled in favor of a customer regarding a defective refrigerator. The customer faced repeated cooling issues and requested a replacement after the refrigerator exploded. The company failed to respond appropriately to the customer’s complaints and repair attempts. As a result, the commission ordered compensation along with litigation costs to be paid to the customer. The total financial liability amounts to Rs 1.
