Gates Foundation donates $540m grant to University of Washington

The Gates Foundation has granted $540 million to IHME for global health data. This funding will expand disease research coverage to nearly 5,000 locations worldwide. Governments will receive more detailed local health data for policy decisions. This investment supports early responses to health crises and improves healthcare. The foundation plans to wind down operations by 2045.
