Government plans to merge Ircon, RVNL to help them scale up

Two major railway PSUs, Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) and Ircon International, are set to merge to create a larger entity capable of undertaking significant domestic and international projects. This strategic move aims to eliminate duplication, pool resources, and enhance the combined company’s ability to bid for mega infrastructure projects, with a combined order book exceeding Rs 1.5 lakh crore.
