By offering distribution companies access to more affordable domestic gas for newly activated connections, the initiative seeks to transform over 50 lakh previously unbilled accounts into operational ones. This strategic move is anticipated to expedite the payback period related to capital investments, encouraging a rapid proliferation of piped cooking gas installations in households.
