Govt mandates switch to piped gas: Centre orders transition to PNG wherever available

Households in areas with available piped natural gas (PNG) infrastructure must switch from LPG within three months or face supply cessation. This new policy, aimed at enhancing energy security and diversifying fuel sources amidst global disruptions, streamlines pipeline approvals and encourages a transition to PNG for continuous supply. Exceptions exist for technically infeasible connections.
