Grand Teton ranch sold in 1967 stayed with same family for 39 more years

The 4 Lazy F Ranch in Wyoming remained with the Frew family for decades after they bought it in 1927. Emily Frew Oliver turned the family summer retreat into a dude ranch in 1950. In 1967, she sold the property to the federal government but kept a life estate. She voluntarily gave it up in 2006, ending her family’s long connection with the historic ranch.
