Hockey WC: India hammer Germany 3-1 to seal best finish since 1974

India defeated Germany 3-1 to finish fifth at the 2026 Women’s Hockey World Cup, their best result at the tournament in 52 years. After a goalless first half, Ishika opened the scoring before Navneet Kaur struck twice in quick succession. Germany pulled one back late through Krings, but India held firm to complete a memorable campaign.
