Hyderabad techie’s body to remain on Everest as recovery costs hit Rs 90 lakh

A Hyderabad tech professional’s family has chosen to leave his body on Mount Everest, citing faith and the extreme difficulty of recovery from the ‘death zone’. The recovery cost was quoted at nearly Rs 90 lakh, twice the summiting fee. He died descending near Hillary Step after reaching the peak.
