IGL rolls out AI system to check CNG cylinder safety at pumps

Indraprastha Gas Ltd has implemented an AI-enabled vehicle recognition system at various CNG stations in Delhi. This technology checks the hydrotest status of CNG cylinders to enhance safety measures. It ensures that vehicles with invalid certifications are alerted and refuelling is halted. The initiative follows a cylinder blast incident, prompting stricter enforcement of safety norms. The system will soon be deployed at all CNG stations managed by IGL.
