Indianapolis man built $13m fortune; estate gave $1.6m to classroom charity

Terence Kahn, who lived a remarkably simple life, amassed over $13 million before his death in January 2021. After his passing, his estate representatives reached out to various nonprofits in Indianapolis to ensure his wealth was used for good. Among the beneficiaries, Teachers’ Treasures received an impactful donation of $1.6 million, which initiated the nonprofit’s inaugural endowment fund and bolstered its mission to distribute essential supplies to teachers.
