IndiGo flight with 224 onboard makes emergency landing after engine failure

On Tuesday night, an IndiGo flight traveling from Kolkata to Chennai encountered a left-engine failure, prompting the pilot to declare a full emergency before landing. Emergency protocols were enacted to facilitate the plane’s safe arrival with 224 passengers aboard, ultimately resulting in a secure landing on Runway 25. Post-landing, airport operations returned to normal immediately.
